This 1 day course deals with the role of the Manager working from the fundamentals of team building.
Learning Outcomes - on completion the candidate should be able to:
  • Recognise the difference between groups and teams
  • Identify the stages of development of teams
  • Recognise the current development stage of the team
  • Recognise the range of team roles and apply this concept to build an effective team
Content
  • Characteristics of groups and teams "S the differences, examples within the workplace
  • Forming, storming, norming, performing (and mourning)
  • How to identify team roles (eg Belbin) and the uses and implications for Managers
  • Building a balanced team to achieve objectives
